Navigation site HopStop.com directs 4 million monthly visitors to their urban destination. Currently one of the most popular map apps, CEO Joe Meyer tells The Deal magazine that HopStop has received a wide array of interest from potential acquirers. From daily deal sites to location-based services "a myriad of companies have approached" HopStop. Says Meyer, "I think pedestrian navigation plays very well into local. ...People are walking past store fronts and local merchants and hence much more likely to transact, especially if you could put an offer in front of those users based on knowing where they are."
