"Stranger" was written to fit a sermon by David Platt. He challenged our church to hold loosely to the things of this world for the sake of getting the gospel to all peoples. We are to be doers of the Word and not just hearers only.

God's Word says that the Gospel will be proclaimed to all nations and that the Great Commission will be accomplished. That drives me to want to be a part of this beautiful plan. And when I share the Gospel for six-months with an unreached people group and get rejected, it's not going to get me down. There will be believers among this group one day.
