This video shows how a .ttf font can be dragged and dropped into LiveCoding window, to be used in the code as an object.
The function mousemoved(x,y) is also implemented, allowing to grab mouse positions relative to the window.
The video may be a bit boring, but hey, I can't type faster :)

    i've been hearing a lot about livecoding but never actually looked into it. this looks great! like developing in quartz composer (no different states 'design time' vs 'runtime'), but with text based coding.. bril! Is it c++ backend?

    Thanks. Yes the backend is written in c++, the javascript engine being Spidermonkey (Mozilla).

    I would love to have this as a Quartz Composer plugin (hint hint). There really needs to be a procedural rendering system within Quartz Composer, as graphical programming can only get you so far with certain things. This seems like an interesting candidate :)
