Waltraut RITTER is managing partner and research director of Knowledge Dialogues, which she founded in Hong Kong in 1997, specialising in research and advisory services relating to innovation, knowledge, intellectual capital. She conducts applied research on innovation and knowledge economy across the Asia Pacific region, and is particularly interested in projects at the intersection of universities and society.
She holds teaching and research assignments at the University of Hong Kong, and is Visiting Faculty at International School of Information Management at the University of Mysore, India. In 1999, she was Professor for Knowledge Management at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
She holds an M.A. in information science and sociology from the Free University of Berlin ( Germany ), and an M.B.A. from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. She is member of the Academy of International Business, the Euro-Asia Management Studies Association and is a fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar. Ritter serves as a board member and director on a number of non-profit associations and think tanks, such as the Hong Kong Foresight Centre, the Asia Pacific Intellectual Capital Centre, the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society, as well as the International Knowledge Management Council (ICKM).
