I've been touring around the place with a couple of hired Draper Cinefold screens - draperinc.com/Screen_Pages/cinefold_projection_screens.htm. They had 2 broken joints, on one of the legs and one of the screen frames. I had a dodgy gaffer-tape-and-plywood repair thing going on until I realised that the drape bars - which were unused as the owner doesn't have the expensive drapes - contain hinges which could be scavenged to fix up the screen proper.

This video goes with this post on Create Digital Motion: createdigitalmotion.com/2007/08/22/projection-surface-maintenance-draper-cinefold-screen-repair/

It's a simple procedure to fix, but thought I might as well document it for anyone else who might be in a similar situation in the future.
