Floaties is a new preset from Quba Michalski allowing you to create floating dust particles, light glitters and other effects using After Effects' own, built-in text animator tools. It has been created to simulate some of the functions of (much more robust) Trapcode Particular plugin and is distributed free of charge via QubaHQ.

The particles generated using Floaties preset are fully compatible with After Effects cameras and can be used as both 2D or 3D effect.
