As chief technology correspondent at Unemploymentality.com, I went to Macworld 2009 in San Francisco in search of signs of recession. Aside from the obvious news of Steve Jobs and Apple's impending withdrawal from future Conferences, the 'I go koo-koo for gadgets' look in all the techy's eyes didn't really suggest a bear market. And with the day wearing on, I was wondering if I was going to find a story that was any bigger than hot chicks in kiosks are still good for business. But then the story found me, when David Pogue, personal-technology columnist for the New York Times, wandered by and was intrigued by my five year-old camera. Here's how it went down:
