On a night that had everything from strong wind and sunshine to heavy rain, Rovers hosted UCD for the second time this season. Facing into the wind the Hoops were careful not to let UCD score while trying to break down the students, leading to a scoreless first half. The second half was as much a contrast as that shown by the weather, with Rovers taking full control to get themselves the largest win margin in the Hoops' recent history.
