In November I stopped in Boulder CO on my way to Chicago from LA and stayed with a high school buddy who goes to school there. On my first day in town I decided to hike the nearby Flat Irons which make up part of the Rocky Mountain's front range. From the top you can see the great plains to the east and the rest of the Rockies to the west. It was a wonderful day hike. Near the top I stopped for lunch and kept company by this little guy who was a lot of fun.
