We recently commissioned 20 boreholes, deep water wells, in communities in northern Uganda, surrounding our 20 original Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) groups.

This initiative provides communities access to safe drinking water and improves the sanitation and hygiene of group members and their households. As of May 2011, 20 boreholes have been drilled, thanks to our partners charity: water and International Lifeline Fund. Over 5,000 community members are reaping the benefits of having accessible, clean water.
