Fire danger was quite low during August of 2011 because we had very foggy mornings and evenings with high moisture levels. Those conditions were perfect for enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Ocean as it condenses into fog and wraps itself around the flanks of Mt. Tamalpais. Join me in the transcendental experience of overnighting at the Gardner Lookout at the 2571' summit of the East Peak of Mt. Tamalpais during a 2-day lookout shift. (It was after making this video that I decided to create my "Day in the Life of a Fire Lookout.")
Shot with a Canon XF100 and edited in Final Cut Pro X.
