The Bride Stripped Bare was a site specific interactive video installation created for a vacant storefront in Westwood Village, Los Angeles.

The building originally housed a bridal store, with manikins dressed in bridal wear looking out onto passersby.

In this piece I placed a undressed manikin in the storefront, and used custom programming and electronics to capture the face of passersby and project them onto the face of the manikin.

In effect people on the outside looking in, became the object of their attention, on the inside looking out. At the same time the faces of the participants was unknowing recorded and projected back as an infinite loop onto the manikins face, until someone else interacted with the piece.
