When I arrived home from picking up my 5D Mk2 from Hunt's Photo in Melrose, I had a few minutes of light yesterday -- and whatever charge was in the battery (not a lot). So I put on a 70-200 f/2.8 and headed out to the river to see what I could do. Kinda pushed the limits out of the gate shooting moving water...
I've got a long way to go in terms of getting my levels set properly.. I'm sure I crushed some blacks getting the color balance redone in FCP.
Still figuring out the workflow (so many options to choose from). This was camera H.264 to XDCAM EX via StreamClip, then into FCP for editing; small tweaks for color correction**; then out to Quicktime, and then compressed for Vimeo at 5Mbps (this is "challenging" footage for 3Mbps) with VisualHub.
