Stan Yamashita decided to focus on the macro-side of nature at Brick Works in Toronto. With his new L-series Canon 100mm lens and the zacuto EVF he drew focus to various aspects of the fauna and flora. He found the zacuto EVF extremely helpful when he was trying to focus, especially since the macro lens has such a shallow depth of field.

After careful research, Stan loaded a new program onto each of the company's DSLRs that would allow the cameras to take in a greater amount of colour information while filming. "CineStyle is designed to be the most efficient way to record to the H.264 compression that the Canon's use. This allows greater dynamic range within the same bit rate," Stan explained. He also worked out the final cut pro quirks and his video is a good example of the vibrant colour quality that he was able to achieve with the CineStyle program, with the help from zacuto!
