Greenhouse Effect wikipedia Bio;
The Original band to call itself "Greenhouse Effect" was formed in Torrance California by guitarist Phil Keegan and drummer Rich Hebben. Soul Clinic bassist Rick Carmody had rehearsal space that was free near El Retiro Park right near Redondo Beach California...and a rough original band was formed as a 'trio' about late 1985 or early 1986...at the time, the fledgling band had no official name, as they played Led Zeppelin and Yardbirds covers....
Clark Hagins would come and watch the band as he had previously jammed with Carmody and Redondo beach guitarist Steve Stepanian in the other Redondo beach threesome 'Soul Clinic'. In march of 1988, the band issues the "Global Warming" album. An 8 song cassette which featured a powerful opening song called simply "Precarious". On the song, guitarist Phil Keegan displays a unique 'wrythm' style where he reduces the trebble and ups the midrange and bass on his amp to produce a loud 'muddy' sound,..this sound would revolutionize rock...the band would then...
