In John 17, Jesus prayed to the Father that his people would be one just like he and the Father are one. Today, we have thousands of denominations and millions of churches that are side by side, often a few blocks from each other. Yet their differences keep them a part.
The divisions amongst churches and christians have made Christianity famous for what it is against, rather than what it is for. We are about Jesus and we are about unity.
September 3rd, the region’s college and 20-something groups from churches spanning from Davis to Folsom and beyond, will come together for one weekend. We will be combining our groups, our leaders, our communities to experience Jesus together. It is called AsOne and it is September 3rd thru the 5th at Woodleaf.
The cost is only $110, and it will be a powerful weekend where hundreds of people from our communities will come together for powerful teachings, worship, prayer and a whole lot of fun. There has never been a retreat like this before in the region. Come with us as we make history in this region and fulfill Jesus’s desire that we would be one.
The church is not 4 walls and a steeple. You and are the body and together, we will be one. We’ll see you September 3rd.
