INT. AIRPORT TERMINAL - MORNING

Trying something different, travel day, fresh-squeezed juice, NPR is the “anti-Wire,” and the pain of losing symmetry.

State: Cock o’ the walk.
Hear: “What Makes a Man Start Fires” by Minutemen
See: tinyurl.com/KenzieCheese (Kenzie warns Cheese in “Gone Baby Gone”)
Idea: NPR needs a DIGG. Only not about Macs and boobs.
Fact: I met the ’79 Dodgers

As a (central) California export, the irony of having to use the International terminal to go from SFO to LGB is not lost. And thanks for this series! Great insight and personal access in a simple format.

I'm loving the 'Most Days' videos. American Apparel, small people, tidier hair in public, it's all here!

Are you using textexpander to get too those wikipedia pages so quickly?

Love the vids... WHat are you using to get the screen shots into the video? Thx...

Loving the updates. Ragin, Full on was always my favorite Firehose album. Loved Brave Captain.

Travel-day Merlin sure looks a lot different than hobo Merlin.

What's to the right of the Help menu in Safari? I can't quite make it out.

    @Graham: That's GreaseKit.
@Bob Bobo: Screen shots on video through ScreenFlow.

Perhaps Merlin will do a video about his Mac setup.

Safe to say you guys would vote "Yes" on a tour of what all that crap is?

That'd actually be kinda fun. I'm no Don McAllister, but I'll work on it and try to do something in HD (with real editing and full-on ScreenFlow sexiness). Been meaning to do something like that forever.

Also, the Wikipedia shortcut is one of about 40 or so I use via Sogudi.

Hey, this Sogudi is a great little plugin Merlin, thank you for your reply. Pity it's no longer supported but I shall use it in earnest until it stops working. Edit:: Scratch that, I've just read Mikker's comment.

I would get much pleasure from a tour of your crap, it must have changed somewhat since those macbreak videos.

To get the same functionality as Sogudi (which is dead?) you can use Keywurl. purefiction.net/keywurl/
    SafariStand can also do this.

Or. You could hire someone and then just dictate, what you want to see.
I went with all three possibilities.

    Woohoo Most Days continues!
Love the new location, not so sure about the desktop. Pixelation makes things look crappy. And allready knew what wikipedia looks like. HD would be yummie though.

Peculiarly, I was just up late last night watching _We Jam Econo_. theminutemen.com/trailers.html

I think someone is trying to tell me something.

I vote a 'Yes' for the desktop tour.
Always keen to see what others set-ups are like!

The autism story was produced by an old friend of mine who started making radio recently.

Hearing you on the symmetry. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I had a stroke at some point in the past and didn't notice. Also, wonky nostrils.

more annoyed hobo, Merlin. We are thigh deep in the chicken apocalypse already, here in the Eastern US.

    Merlin...

I just watched this video tonight on 1/23 (it auto started when I clicked through the HD link from 43F for your "Desktop Tour" piece.

And as I'm becoming more and more convinced we're from the same genetic source code, you had to go and bring up 2 points that are anything but coincidental:

    1. I'm on a business trip to Miami, staying at the Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne and have my radio alarm set to, you guessed it, NPR. I know you're conflicted. Let it go. NPR's one of technology's gifts of tranquility.

    2. Secondly...I was meeting some of our clients at the airport on Wednesday and just happened to cross paths with, you guessed it, Tommy Lasorda.

The only thing I could think as I made eye contact, smiled, and extended a hand was, "Mr. Lasorda, you were a fixture of my youth."

I'm still trying to figure out what I meant. But it made his associate, bedecked in an MLB logo'ed windbreaker laugh outloud.

    Also Crooked-Faced...

    Eric
