While eating at the Cheesecake Factory @ the top of Macy's in Union Square, we witnessed the horror as a poor gull couldn't come to terms with it's failed life and decided to end it all and jump.

I hope he's in a better place now.

I was thinking it would make a great name for a band. Like a cross between Flock of Seagulls and The Suicide Machines. I wonder what that would sound like?
  • eric cwiertny 2 years ago
Now that would be an odd mix!

Hey Adam, what movie are you referring to, I don't think I've seen one where he talks people down--or in this case, birds.

Let me know, I'll check it out. Or maybe I've seen it and I'm just drawin' a blank.

    Thx,

    e.

So sad. Such a waste. I only it had been to see a councilor and thought things through a bit. It may have decided that its life really WAS worth living. So tragic when things like this happen. Really upsets you for the rest of the day.
  • eric cwiertny 2 years ago
It know for a fact it wanted help, but due to the lack of fingers and an opposable thumb it couldn't hold a phone receiver or dial the number of the local seagull helpline.

Perhaps it was instructed to end it all by some suicidal cult. Those birds are so gullible.
  • eric cwiertny 2 years ago
Quite possibly...seagulls are so easily manipulated...so sad.
