The first iteration of Sequence was a dual channel audio-visual piece about the accumulation of the many small unconscious mechanical actions that shape our routine. Even though we dismiss it, these bits of information represent a large part of our physical interaction with this world. In this way, Sequence is a portrait filtering out the individuality of the subject. This piece won the Grand Prize at the Dérapage 2011 Festival.
Since the piece demonstrates a dynamic but repetitive routine, the piece was transformed into an autonomous audio-visual installation. The overlapping sequences are never the same but present the same clips over and over depicting the anonymous subject trapped in an endless loop. The installation was presented during the Lumin exhibition at Eastern Bloc in April 2011.
