    thanks,
It took two days to shoot, and about 3 or four days to edit (and I'm still trying to work out the best output solutions)

that would be interesting to see.

That was absolutely amazing. Every shot was beautiful. The song and the video fit very well together. Well done.

WOW. That sheer quality of carefully set up and sensitively framed shots is tops quality. You've got me really excited now about the imminent delivery of the 5D. Thanks for that!

PAUL, Simply amazing. You have created a terrific music video. The fact that is was captured using Canon's 5D Mk2 is also amazing. Anyone using their 5D2 for their still imaging, now can diddle with video, with incredible quality... only ones imagination will limit the uses of Canon's new digital tool. Canon has proven that this digital world is improving with each iteration of their releases. Again, Paul Ward, hats off to a wonderful production. Please give some details on the lenses that you chose for some of these scenes. JimWilson.

    Thanks everyone,

Jim - I used a 17-40L for that opening wide shot, then a 24-70L for everything else, except the shower where I wanted a very narrow DOF so used the 50mm 1.8.

all shot on a cheap(ish) matthews video tripod from calumet.

    regards
    Paul

Hey, that was really well done. What's the world coming to when a dSLR can produce broadcast quality footage like that? Very nicely filmed, too.

Very good work, what's not to like!

Refreshing to enjoy a less frantic approach to a musical video which allows the story to speak for itself.

Sparkling images from the brilliant 5d.

Have you thought of using a GLIDETRACK which, for a very modest investment, will add another dimension to your work,

    Bob

Hi Paul the video looks fantastic. what's amazing is this evening i looked at some web episodes of the Ghost Whisperer on ABC'S website. and it looks terrible.

so hollywood DOP assume huge budget and well, pants!

you should be very proud. on a techie note. what did you do to work around the 30fps issue? assume this clip is now 25fps?

    regards
    Marc

    Marc,
I still have issues with the 30fps issue - on static shots it doesn't really show - but on pans or tracks the change in frame rates to 25 makes them look jerky ... we can only hope that canon fixes it and gives us the 24 / 25 options soon!
