After 27 years, legendary Melbourne art-punks The Ears revisit the past but also whip up a whole bunch of new songs at A Day By The Green #5 at the Bowlo (St Kilda Bowling Club).

The Ears are miraculously resurrected and are represented by most of the original line up of Sam Sejavka, Mick Lewis and Carl Manuel. Ross Farnell (formerly of Beargarden) is on bass. Andrew Park (who played in Ash Wednesday's Modern Jazz) is on keyboard and renowned blues singer Kerri Simpson, steps into Cathy McQuade's shoes with backup vocal duties.

The Ears are the legendary Melbourne punk phenomenon who gained wider notoriety as the template for Richard Lowenstein’s cult movie "Dogs In Space". The lead character, played by Michael Hutchence of INXS, was loosely based on Ears singer Sam Sejavka and the song "Dogs In Space" was an Ears song.

"The Crater" was the B-Side of the The Ears' first single "Leap For Lunch" and was originally released 1980.
