My friend Amanda had never seen a whole Star Wars film. When I asked her if she wanted to watch the original trilogy she said that she would, but that she already knew what happens. So I took out my voice recorder and asked her to start from the top.

I then created some very basic animation in Final Cut to go along with her narration.

WINNER of the 'George Lucas Selects' award in the 2009 Star Wars Fan Movie contest.

Not only is this the best wrap-up of the trilogy that I have ever come across, but the girl who's telling the story sounds adorable. I think that she should do a "movies in 60 seconds" type of blog. It would be great!

As someone who saw the original star wars (not star wars retitled as star wars 4) in the movie theatre about 50 times in 1978-79, I was laughing my hiney off! Good job on the animation. "Hans". Heh.

Awesome interpretation! Reminds me of that Robot Chicken episode when Luke walks away from Darth Vader as DV is explaining that the force is really caused my microscopic organisms, and that DV built C3PO when he was a child etc.
