Warning: intravenous drug use depicted explicitly. Shot with 5d MKII, 70-200 2.8, 16-35 2.8, 180 3.5 macro. No image post-processing, only available light used.

Just sort of an ad hoc learning experiment shooting a really simple story. I think some of the pans get messed up because camera only does 30p, vimeo transcodes to 24p, kind of unfortunate.

Excellent work. Not just great cinematography, but great storytelling as well. Perfect music selection, editing - the whole package.

The music is by the late, excellent Nina Simone - "Wild Is The Wind" and I agree, great choice

I would be shooting up if I was working in a carpet warehouse too.

Best short film produced yet! Wish you would have used the Merlin at the end but dang! Can't wait to see what you film next! :)

Thank you - funny you say that, I fully intended to use the Merlin but accidentally left the mounting plate at home. To get at least the one dolly-ish shot we tried 3-4 rolling carts that were too bumpy, then finally settled on using a fork lift.

Really enjoyed it, the Nina Simone worked well.

I noticed on one of the pans, you didn't lock the exposure. I hate that you have to press that little button, I forget to do it ALL THE TIME.

Your "ad hoc learning experiment" has become one of the best things I've seen here. I'm looking forward to seeing your serious stuff!
I'm also in awe with the fact that you only used avaible light. To think I haul 1000/2000W lamps around when I work.
    In short.... Holy fuck.

Hi Bryan - late answer but I just slowed things down in Premiere Pro. You can now sleep after 4 months knowing this :)
