The Moon Dot does not require a smoke machine.

However they look much better with smoke than without smoke as you can see the beams with smoke.

This is a big deal if the venue will not allow smoke machines for you party as it limits what lighting you can use.

The Moon Dot are great value as it produces hundreds of beams and covers the whole wall or dance floor in continually changing patterns.

This unit requires a lighting stand.
