This is a film about when the Tall Ships Races came to Fair Isle in 2011. It's a series of stop frame and cartoon animations taken from drawings and music sessions during a series of workshops with the local children at the school.

There was a barter of traditional Fair Isle hats with the crew of Sorlandet, just one of the many visiting ships during the eventful weekend. A massive celebration in the tent in the North Haven followed shortly after, where islanders and crew sheltered from the storm. These are just some of the events which we've tried to re create here.
