turn, turn, turn

The making of Amy's Christmas knitting needles.
This was my first real lathe project, so I started out with a good-sized chunk of wood to allow for some practice time. Nothing wrong with a little sawdust. This particular needle was walnut, and I then turned some small acorn-shaped caps for the non-knitting end out of a bit of light oak I had.
Probably shouldn't have worn the hoody with strings around the spinning wood, but no harm no foul.
