WiredWest member towns from the four counties of western Massachusetts met in Cummington to sign articles of incorporation and become a state sanctioned Massachusetts Public Cooperative. WiredWest is now officially the "WiredWest Communications Cooperative Corporation" legally authorized to conduct business, execute contracts and issue tax exempt bonds. The event was also a moment for the town delegates – newly minted members of the Cooperative's Board – to engage in a bit of celebration before returning to the work needed to get the fiber-optic network built in member towns.`
