    Thanks!
Facinating stories you actually filmed. Shot on DSLR? Saw some acrobatis on the focus ring.
  • Ricardo de Sousa 5 months ago
Thank you, that's my final project to my graduation.
I shot with the Panasic Lumix GH2 and the Canon 5D.
I'm trying to put it on Vimeo but it always giving some error I don't know why.
  • Ricardo de Sousa 5 months ago
To put subtittles on Vimeo you already have in your work or there is some way to add subtittles to your video?
  • Tom Poederbach plus 5 months ago
DSLR's are not that handy to shoot run and gun. Use a short zoom and f8-f5.6 to be felxible in dof. To follow fast moving objects in a long distance with a long lens I would choose a small sensor. Especially with sports. You do not have to do crazy things on the focus ring.

When you upload your final product upload a mp4 encoded copy Vimeo has no problems with that.

I put the subtitels on the copy before uploading

It's the second time I shoot with a DSLR to do this documentary. I learn a lot about this camera and they DOP. Know I'm praticing with my GH2 and I have a better control and knowledge of this kind of cameras.

Thanks for reply to my comment.

Excellent! I played 27 yrs of W/C B-ball in the USA. The chairs, game, and the training have come a long way. I am married to a Dutch woman and she enjoyed the narrative. Listening to the young men put a gleam in her eyes and a large smile on her face. Good luck Team Nederland.

Do you still play or are you retired from playing now?

Yes. I retired a few years ago. I wasn't quite team USA caliber, but travelling around the country renewing friendships was easily the most rewarding element, and I was on my share of winners as well as teams that were stomped. Memorable, joyous, frustrating, overall the best of times. Many a bored, depressed, angry 'gimp' was saved by the game.
