Rory Mackay in early studio rehearsals for Widow Simone's taxing clog dance from La Fille mal gardée.
The ballet is often described as a summer pantomime, with it's dashing hero and heroine, vibrant colors and comedy dame.
In the full stage version, this segment is performed alongside a host of other characters. The ocassional pauses in the action are the few moments where the Widow relinquishes centre stage in favour of another dancer.
