Comparison shot I did on the set of a short film that was being shot on the Sony FS100. The scene was lit and designed for an FS100. I matched the settings between the FS100 and an AF100, and then shot the same scene with both cameras. Lens on the FS100 was a 35mm Zeiss Compact Prime at F/2.8. Lens on the AF100 was a 28mm Zeiss Compact Prime at F/2.2. The FS100 footage is presented as shot, ungraded, exactly as the Director of Photography and the Digital Imaging Tech and Post Supervisor had designed for it to look. I did a little grading in Premiere Pro CS5 to get the AF100 footage to look close to the FS100.
I'm not telling you which is which, but I'm impressed with just how identical these two cameras can look if you take a little time to match up the settings, and further finish it off with a mild bit of grading in post.
