Thousands gathered to occupy Althingi Square, demanding change.
In three months, the uprising brought to an end 18 years of neo-liberal rule.
Before it came to that, 30 protesters entered the parliament building, to read a declaration.
Nine of them were then charged for 'an attack against parliament'.
