Lucali: Citysearch's Best Pizza 2007

Every year Citysearch polls its users to determine the best restaurants around New York City. Pizza is always a hotly contested competition, with old standbys like Grimaldi's and John's making the list nearly every year. We also choose and editorial winner every year, and this year a new upstart in Brooklyn's Carroll Gardens impressed us most. Opened by a first-time piemaker, Mark Iacono, this cozy spot serves only pizza and calzone. Citysearch recently chatted with Iacono, who filled us in on his inspirations and the always evolving process of making the perfect pie. Plus we got to watch him make a pie up close.
