In the past week high surf warnings brought forth hardcore body surfers and spectators alike to The Wedge at Newport Beach. With my new camera in tow I decided to test out the different lens and features while shooting in sequential mode.

Not exactly a time lapse (that will come later, soon as I find myself a good intervalometer for the PEN), more of a stop-motion...

I compiled these shots into a movie so you can see how tall the waves were (about 15-20 feet, or 5-6meters) that day, and how little we humans are when thrown into nature's hands - helpless little beings.

Grinning-cheek-to-cheek (as I see them come out of water) helpless little beings, nonetheless.

I somehow mis-set the F-stop so the pictures were all blown out in the bright sunlight, so I used my Vegas Video effects and 'tweaked' the results a bit. Hope you like it.
