Helpful Information Regarding the 375th Celebration:
The 375th Celebration will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011, in Tercentenary Theatre from 7pm until midnight. The event is designed to bring the members of Harvard’s extended family together for a festive, informal evening with elegant desserts prepared by local vendors, a memorable musical performance, and special lighting effects. The evening will end with a live band and dance party. Roving student performers representing a rich array of cultural traditions: dancers, musicians, a cappella groups and soloists will start the evening followed by colorful parades featuring Harvard alumni, each of the undergraduate Houses, and all of the graduate and professional schools.
Who is invited?
Harvard students, staff, faculty, alumni, and invited guests are welcome to attend. Because this is an evening event, it is not advisable to bring young children. Entry: The celebration is free of charge. However, an official form of Harvard identification will be required for entry. Harvard ID holders and alumni are invited to bring one guest. Alumni are asked to register online. Upon registration, alumni will receive a confirmation email to present for entry to the Celebration. Alumni may call the events line at 617-495-7507 with questions or for assistance with registration. Large bags and backpacks will NOT be allowed in Tercentenary Theatre.
All attendees 21 years of age or older will be asked to show official identification and, in compliance with College regulations, will be given a bracelet in order to be served. Parking is limited and guests are encouraged to take public transportation wherever possible.
Creative party dress appropriate to the season is encouraged. Because this is an outdoor event with minimal seating, comfortable footwear is advised.
