A little ditty about Jack and Diane.
I saw a short film competition one day that interested me. But I didn't have anything to shoot. With only a month before the deadline, I got an idea and wrote the script in less than a day. A week later I found a producer, Howard Mark Offenhutter, thank God. Because of him we had a crew by weeks end and we shot immediately. We shot it in a straight 24 hours that was both exhilarating and exhausting in equal measures. Two days later I meet Bryan Kohl, a terrific editor, who happened to live in my neighborhood, and he helped me put the film together over the next 2 weeks. And with that I sent it off. Voila! Sometimes that's how you make a movie. All in all, I was enormously pleased with the final product, and it forever launched me into filmmaking.
