    @eduardo: its scala scala-lang.org/ a modern object-functional language - and my current favorite... you should check it out.

    Sorry, I meant Scala - I had already heard of it; and it seemed very interesting. I'm curious as to what you did with Scala in this project.

    i use it for practically everything. the agent simulation, opengl (via jogl) and interface were written in it.

    Wow, that sounds pretty cool. Is there a performance loss for programming in Scala instead of Java?

    its quite nice really, i can only recommend it
    — performance is another good aspect. most languages that a fun to program in are significantly slower than java. with scala its roughly the same. btw you might be interested in spde = processing + scala technically.us/torrents/
