    what's the song?
  • Alexei Popogrebsky plus 5 months ago
It is the Cold Genius aria from Purcell's King Arthur, the baroque opera. Also famously performed by Klaus Nomi in cabaret style (as used in the opening sequence of Pialat's A Nos Amours -- gives me goosebumps every time). Can't tell whose performance is used here, though.

Her de-flated man! Nicely worked; I'd like to see more of these two--so tragic!

    Elodie is a magnificent actress.
Check out "Louise, take two" a masterpiece of a film directed by 'Siegfried', cant say enough about that movie, a true hidden gem.
Bangalter is a great, great talent too. Always coming up with something warm blooded and interesting, either with music, cinema or both!.
Happy to see some REAL artist using the ikonoskop for a project instead of these 'names' they use to promote new camera's (Scorcese for Canon talking some random shit for $$$, elitist crap that is supposed to schock and awe, we do NOT need that!)
This is the real deal. Using new technology to create Heartbreaking poetry. Makes me want to work harder...

Nice film but can I ask why there seems to be a lot of blue fringing? IE 1:43. Is this a fault with the camera?
  • Co Collections pro 3 months ago
This was an intentional effect, a result of the vintage filters that were used.

Good to hear! I was a little worried as the fringing seemed to show more when there was a lot of blue in the picture Now I know why!

    Cheers.

It's been 4 months since I first watched this video, and I keep thinking about it once in a while because of how inspiring some of the color balances are! Great Job, Mr. Bangalter!

Same here - It looks like film. Soft, organic, warm. No rolling shutter.
