Check out the first flight of our RED EPIC M on the CineStar 8.

Using the latest composite technology, the CineStar 8 is an extremely lightweight and rigid aerial platform. This innovative design allows for higher payloads and longer flight times.

The 2 axis CineStar camera gimbal is completely adjustable to accommodate a wide range of cameras from small DSLR's all the way up to the Red EPIC.

The CineStar 8 in this video weighs 6lbs ready to fly and is lifting a 10lb payload, over 1.5 times its own weight!

    Wow very impressive two questions:

    1) What happens if one of the propeller engines looses power or fails? Will the others compensate for a safe return?

    2) What were the settings on the EPIC? Looks like 120fps played back at 30 or 24p.

You got some cojones for placing such a camera on that!

    Hi James!

    1) Yes, in an ideal world it would work as described.

    2) This was 120FPS on a 24P timeline

    3) not Cojones, just plain stupid! ;)

Looks nice. Do you plan to run the 2-axis camermount or will you use a 3-axis solution. If a 3, what kind?
Ah.. just same question as Justin above. Curious since I will invest in the Cinestar (in Sweden)

Hey guys, 3 axis is on the way! Just working on the best way to implement a slop free, lightweight design. We have several designs we are testing now.

Any hints? I was planning on the AV200 360 Degree Pan Kit but since I can't see the product before I buy it I need all the help I can get. Have you testet that mount? Reactions?

I noticed you didn't fly it very high. Does the weight of the Epic prevent it from going much higher, or did you just choose to keep it low?

do you have also some shooting test at normal speed? just to enjoy the effective stabilization level

Are you powering the Epic from where? i don't see the sidehandle. Great setup.
