This is an excerpt of my video installation ‘the video market’ that I created for the 2008 WANAKIO urban art festival in Japan.
I spent one month on a wholesale market in Okinawa, filming my interactions with the local community. I would also edit my footage on location, creating one short episode every day, adding it to a video loop that was screened as a site-specific installation in the market.
