Wow your camera takes amazing video. Nice song choice.

I noticed in your video that the California flag is flown below the American flag. I find this interesting because I've heard the Texas flag is the only flag that's allowed (by whom?) to be flown at the same height. I don't know if there's any truth to this but I have seen them flown together.

Dunno, I would have believed you on the flag thing. My mom's side of the family is from Texas...and if any state had the ability to fly it at the same height, it could easily be Texas. Speaking of Texas flags, my sister has one bought at the Alamo, that is like they one they flew over it, that says simply: "Come and get it...or is it come and take it" I love that attitude!

BTW, the video is from my aging Sony Cybershot DSC-T33 while the stills were from my Nikon D70. The Nikon is great. My wife and sons newer cameras (Fuji and Canon) smoke mine now.

hey, the hubs told me that same thing about the TX flag. he said it was because when we joined the union we were a sovereign nation, like a separate country, like mexico or canada. our "country" as it were, became a state in the union.

i love soccer soooo much. its the only thing that keeps me sane. but for some reason i cant stand the womens national team...

i dunno why... i think im just jealous that they get more exposure than the mens team. i HATED mia hamm when she would comment on the mens world cup last summer... grrrr.

actually speaking of soccer, im coaching my towns middle school soccer team, we had our first game tonight and WON 3-1! w00t

I think you would like this team. They want to be their OWN team and not live in the shadow of past teams.
They seem to be a really great group of players.

Congrats on the win! It's great to keep the kids active and goin' in sports. Out of all the people there at the game about 60% seemed to be kids--mostly girls...that was kinda cool to see them so interested in soccer.
