Chapter Seven:
Before the trip, John had the guys write letters to themselves about what they had accomplished and been through in their lives. The dinner before the summit attempt, John had the guys read their letters and reflect and share. This was one of the most powerful moments during the entire trip.

In the summer of 2007 I was given the opportunity to travel to Russia, with a non-profit, in order to document their journey up Europe's tallest peak. One of the seven summits of the world, Mt. Elbrus stands at 18,510 ft.
