Thanks! I cropped it slightly on the sides since I haven't perfected sizing the image in the camera's viewfinder yet, also some shots are skewed a bit. The toughest part is making sure the image is aligned before shooting. Not sure if it's "true" 2.66 since I pretty much eyeballed the whole thing. I use Vegas to place the footage on the timeline and tweak them a bit, but the majority of the work I do in Virtualdub.

I have the exact same lens. They say necessity is the mother of invention, which is probably why I used duct tape to fasten it to the Yashica's lens, which is almost an exact fit. I should invest in some ring adapters!

Thnk you! I use a variable speed projector that aims its image at a condensor lens. A video camera is aimed at this, then recorded, inverted in post and then colorized.

i thought i read that you should never put negative film into a projector, for they are lacking of a special coating, but i dont remember where i got that from.
there's not much literature covering negative-film telecine - i think i´ll try some different things myself. ;)

Yes that's the same thing I read. But I think the ones putting that out there are the places that do the negative transfers...LOL. It's the main reason I tried it myself. I didn't accept there reasoning so I tried it myself. It's been a long learning curve, but well worth it. I would say start with reversal, this way you can get the focusing, framing, flickering and exposure down right, then move on to negatives since that involves a whole bunch of other stuff.
