the moments in our lives wherein all doubt seems absurd and we are sure we can do anything are few and far between, and we need to embrace them.

it's the night before obama's inauguration, and we were just watching the kids' inaugural concert. i just got back from watching guys like jon rob and tyler and samm and henry and bergy and sebby and andre rock the hell out of my no jive, and i was inspired.

so i tried some tricks i once thought impossible on fixed wooden axle; first pure 143 and later kamikaze.

tonight, for whatever reason, they seemed not only doable, but positively easy. may our next president be emboldened by such confidence (and may he also put it to more productive use).
