1999 • The New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation invited the Mobil Oil Corporation to present results of an independent study for Newtown Creek area reclamation and remediation of its 17 million gallon underground oil spill at a public meeting, held at Ascension Hall in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
