A new feature column called: FILMING FILIPPO Brunelleschi, begins in late September.

The column is written by filmmaker David Battistella who moved to Florence from Canada earlier this year to pursue the dream of writing and producing a definitive feature film based on the Ross King book about the life of Filippo Brunelleschi and the the building of the Cupola in Florence, Italy.

As a transplanted Italian-Canadian, David will also share stories about what it is like to be a reverse immigrant, an Italian born abroad who returns to an Italy vastly different from the one his parents left in the 1950s.

The column will feature David's written anecdotes and also share bits of filmed media and stories that David collects as he moves toward getting the film project financed and underway.
