This is the regional co-operative political organ for the north incorporating the counties of Finnmark, Troms, Nordland and Nord-Trøndelag. Since establishment in 1974, the Executive Committee for Northern Norway has had a main objective of visualising the region’s value creation potential and opportunities, as well as identifying, coordinating and solving tasks of common interest in the north. The purpose is to find the overriding common issues that the counties can solve in a better way through the political cooperative organ The Executive Committee for Northern Norway – than by themselves.
