Sasha Duerr of the Permacouture Institute, and Bay Area Slow Food culinary artist Leif Hedendal of the Secret Cafe collaborated on a unique event highlighting the multiple uses of plants as a means of creating awareness about sustainable fashion and food.

The event started with a class on natural fibers and dyes, and was then followed by an incredible meal that used many of the same natural ingredients.
