The second day…
This day started of with some hiking to the bottom of a really nice back country road. We ride through a nice wooden bridge. It was super could and the streets were A bit icy and we didn’t do much filming, we just enjoyed the ride through nature...
….after that run we got warmed up. Josh had scouted out some sick places walking with his girl, and just going out to ride alone. Obernau is; a nice fast and wide street, It’s commonly ridden by Luzern’s long board crew, and incidentally is where we started our first movie “Freebording in Luzern” It is a good street for beginners or experts because it is steep and wide. The thing is it is straight down so it lacks in the turn department. That’s ok though it leads us to another little dead end street that starts with an awesome long and fast right turn transferring in an hairy s-turn… we sampled this for an hour. Then Junior, a super steezing local; ride any board and rip shit up kind of guy, came up. He really liked that spot. He had never seen it!, and it was always there in his own back yard… I think Freebording changes the way I will look at streets forever…
Since its wintertime there is ice, snow, water and splitt (very small crushed rock) for pedestrian and auto traction on the road all of which makes riding extremely difficult...
but you get used to it...
After that session, we kicked into town (it’s all down hill but a bit flat). We went to check out Goofy and Regular to get some new bearings for my centers. The owner threw us a case of beer in the back of his shop and gave us some t-shirts.
