Alex! I just found this... was browsing through the comments... and here you are! LOVED this video. Made my heart sing - reminded me of the hundreds of times I had the exact same moment when I was living in Paris.

Fancy meeting you here! Aww, you must miss Paris. I definitely need to to go back, although lately I've been missing Montreal. A visit back is in order.

Also watch Sub City New York if you haven't already, it's equally fantastic.

NYC is my favorite city, but I like this Paris Sub City even more than the New York one. By the end of this my eyes are full of tears actually. It just stirred something in me. Thanks so much for making and sharing such a well-made film.

Another great video -- for me the excitement of emerging from the darkness of the sub city metro is what I wil encounter in the streets and people above, in a completely diff. light.

Nice color, editing, music track, etc., but the subject matter...passing people on the street..was just not interesting to me. I can go to the mall and get plenty of that. Seems I've seen this kind of video before several times, coming from underground to street level.

Brilliant. I just love how hand-made it feels. Just right. Not overly produced, just great execution of an idea. My favorite sequence is the people emerging into the frame from below. The timing of that is perfect. Very, very nice work.

Beautiful and fascinating. The illusion of camera as invisible voyeur is maintained 99% of the time. Exceptions I remember are the couple who moved aside on the stairs/elevator, the lady we saw briefly though the window of her carriage, and — especially — the lady who made direct, sustained eye contact with the camera/ viewfinder/ videographer/ viewer. Were those exceptions kept deliberately in editing?

That art nouveau arch doesn't get old, I love it. This reminds me of an experience I had where I nearly got pick-pocketed coming out of the metro, but luckily I managed to prevent it immediately. I had a small backpack on with a video camera and camera inside it. This piece doesn't only remind me of that, it also reminds me of a lot of other things even apart from Paris. The mundane moments in life that we don't appreciate often or easily. Fleeting emotions and things that occur in-between daily life that can't be explained or are better off to be seen. Beautifully done and love the pairing with Ezra Pound.

Inspired by the NY one? How about ending it with the last person the camera sees walks towards the camera and they embrace the camera holder(first person view).

I visited Paris in August and I fell in love with the whole city. Even when I got lost on the wrong metro line. And I'll tell you why: because suddenly we rose out of the ground and I saw a very different Paris than expected. And I loved it. Your video reminds me so strongly of that moment, when while being in the metro... the sun suddenly warmed my face and revealed that unique feeling that only Paris has made me feel. Thank you for doing this and sharing it. I love it!
