STRATEGY BEHIND THIS VIDEO: Our target audience for this video is young students. That means short attention span. That means distrust of a "sales message". So, we knew we had to hook them in the first ten seconds. So we put what's most interesting to these young prospective student pilots right up front, i.e. the thrill of solo flight. And we put that message in the mouths of students their age. Why? Because young people trust other young people. Even the narrator has a young voice.
METHOD: We interviewed the student pilots and asked them to remember their first solo flight. as we showed the take off of the sleek aircraft of our client, Phoenix East Aviation. The rest of the video shows them the school, its statistics, and the corporate message hopefully was subtly reinforced throughout - "You'll realise your dream to be a pilot at Phoenix East Aviation."
RESULT: The clients enrolments are up. Visits to their site is up. CAMERA: The Canon 5D fit snugly into the cockpit for the over the shoulder looks. The 5D was great on the green screen shots and on jib shots. We pass 5D shooting tips in our monthly, L.A.-based Canon Boot Camps. canonbootcamp.com
